The lesson plan uses music for the warm up. After learning the correct passing footwork technique and individual passing 9th grade physical education students will be able to pass the ball. Students will take and pass a quiz over the rules and the positions.
After completing the volleyball unit 9th grade physical education students will be able to play the game of volleyball using all of the basic skills to the best of their ability.
Students practice the skill of how to bump and set in the game of volleyball. Identify the five volleyball skills by name demonstrate understanding of mechanics of volleyball. The goal of volleyball is to try to ground the ball on the other team s side of the court while preventing them from grounding the ball on your side. Playing within the rules the rules are intended to keep the game moving.
